DirtX Calendar Update
Preparation of the DirtX Calendar has been a time consuming task over the last couple of weeks. Whilst we are not yet finalised, I thought it might be time to share a draft calendar so that everyone can start locking in some dates. Our biggest issue is that we are still in negotiation reagrding the first 1 or two rounds of the series. What I can tell you is that we are aiming to commence the 2012 DirtX series in either late February (19th or 26th) or in early March (4th).
The dates we have are as follows
Feb 19 - TBC
Mar 4 - TBC
Apr 1 - Oakdale (MX)
Apr 29 - Lakes (MX)
May 20 - Clarence (MX)
June 24 - TBC
July 15 - Maitland (Enduro Sprint)
Aug 5 - Central Coast (Dirt track)
Sep 2 - Maitland (MX)
Sep 23 - Oakdale (MX)
Oct 21 - TBC
Nov 11 - Woollongong (MX)
At this stage we are still working with Cessnock, Lower Mountains and Dargle around dates at those complexs.

Horsley Park open day postponed.
This weekends open day at the new Horsley Park complex has been postponed. All parties involved have been working extremely hard with working bee's most weekends. The weather has been against us also. We hope to have the open day in a few weeks. There is another working bee this weekend. People are needed both days. If you can spare a few hours, bring your boots & gloves??????
Just an update from the weekends working bee, both the 50's & the 85's mx track is all underway about 90% complete the event areas where marked out on the weekend just waiting to be roped off most of the fences have been completed, still waiting on both the containers to come.
A big thanks to Steve & his bobcat worked all day saturday & sunday bringing the place into shape. We have another working bee for next saturday & sunday we need a team of 5 or 6 people with their whipper snippers to cut down the grass on the mound, rope off the event areas & mark out the perimiter of the mx track.
For more information please contact Russel on 0438 266 033.

Calendar Update
Its coming soon.....As you have all heard us say before, it is a slow process. We are working with all of our host clubs to organise dates for the 2012 Dirt X Season. We have some dates locked in, and others that are just pencilled in whilst we work to orgainse other dates.
We are working toward having a draft calendar published by the end of next week. The DirtX series will not commence until the 2nd half of February, and at this stage we are hoping Sunday 19th February may the first round, but can not confirm just yet.
We will also be publishing our minikhana calendar as well, looking forward to re-establishing club minikhana activities as well as a range of interclub events.
Once the draft calendar is published, the club will send out an SMS to let everyone know it is available. |
